FRANKLIN – A Franklin woman is facing arson charges after allegedly setting fire to her own home last year. State Fire Marshal Jon Davine and Franklin Fire Chief Charles Allen announced that Melissa Brown was arrested Monday in connection with the November 1st two-alarm fire on Maple Street.
The fire prompted a large response from multiple surrounding departments and followed what officials described as an “extensive and methodical investigation” by state and local authorities. While no people were injured, two cats were found dead in the fire.
