FRANKLIN – Franklin Town Historian Joseph Landry has been presented with the Second Annual Mary C. Morrissey Olsson Historic Preservation Award.

The Franklin Historical Society says Landry was given the honor on Saturday for his years of research into the history of Franklin, using primary sources to create presentations and broadcasts that have engaged the public and opened new doors of understanding about the town. The award is named for former Historical Society Chairperson Mary Olsson, who was a tireless advocate for historic preservation.
