FRANKLIN – The town of Franklin will be part of a regional effort to host World Cup-related events this summer.
The town is set to receive a portion of $120,000 in state funding alongside Marlborough and the MetroWest Boston Visitor Bureau. The funding is part of a larger $10 million initiative to support fan events across Massachusetts.
Planned MetroWest fan zones will include watch parties featuring large screens, food trucks, beer gardens, live music, and more. Local businesses are being encouraged to take part.
