Franklin Students Shine in Annual Food Elves Campaign

By MyFM’s Marissa Santos – Middle and high school students in the Franklin area have enthusiastically volunteered to support The Franklin Food Pantry’s annual Food Elves Campaign. The campaign kicked off in early December, with Food Elves making visits to neighborhoods across Franklin to seek monetary donations in aid of The Pantry’s essential services and programs. Residents in Franklin can anticipate receiving a distinctive purple Franklin Food Pantry donation envelope along with collection instructions from their dedicated neighborhood Food Elf following the Thanksgiving holiday. Those who do not receive a visit from a Franklin Food Elf by December 8 are encouraged to contribute online or mail donations to 341 W. Central Street, Franklin, MA.

Beyond addressing hunger, the Food Elves Campaign offers valuable opportunities for youth. Volunteering not only contributes to the community’s well-being but also serves as a platform for improving self-esteem, developing career skills, building relationships, and educating teens on issues affecting their community.
