Franklin’s group purchased power rate has been set at 15 cents per kilowatt-hour starting in November. The town says the Franklin Community Choice Power Supply Program, also known as Municipal Aggregation, saved ratepayers an about $11.5 million dollars in the previous three-year contract. The new 2-year deal for 15 cents with Colonial Power Group and Dynegy Energy Services is an increase over the current rate of 10.7 which you’ll see on your December bill. All residents and businesses are eligible.
