By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Franklin is reportedly getting an interest free multi-million-dollar loan from the state to help solve PFAS contamination in two town wells. This week the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust approved more than $96 million in loans to several towns. The Franklin Observer reports Franklin is set to borrow about $5.5 million for the PFAS treatment system at Well 7/7A. DPW Director Robert Cantoreggi tells the news site the work has already been bid out and will start soon. Construction of the Well 7/7A PFAS Treatment Facility Addition will be getting underway soon and will take about a year.
