By MyFM’s Claire BeverlyFranklin Public Schools’ redistricting plan for the elementary schools will be going forward. Last week the Franklin School Committee voted unanimously to create a boundary line that will start in the 2025-26 school year. The plan will ultimately include creating a central unified middle school and consolidating five elementary schools into four schools in two complexes. They say the reorganization was needed due to declining enrollment over the last 20 years and the closure of Davis Thayer Elementary in 2021.
