We are just a week away from the Franklin Special Town Election on a tax override to close up a gap in the town and school district budgets. Voting is on June 3 from 6am to 8pm at Franklin High School.  The Town says the $3.86 million structural deficit is the result of fixed costs rising faster than revenue, which is constrained by Proposition 2 ½.  They say it will cost the average homeowning household about $312 a year.
