By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Someone is stealing checks from the outside drop boxes at Franklin’s Main Street Post Office. Franklin Police and the Postal Inspection Service are investigating multiple check thefts from the outside blue mail drop boxes after a Postal employee was robbed of a key to the boxes. They say the suspects have been opening the boxes, taking all of their contents, finding checks, and then changing the checks’ value and payee and depositing them. Police say you should use the box inside the Main Street Post Office.
