Franklin Police Mourn Loss of K9 Robbi After 7 Years of Service

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Franklin Police K9 Robbi has passed away. The Department says he died Monday following a brief illness but didn’t give details. K9 Robbi joined Franklin Police in 2017 and served for 7 distinguished years, assisting in numerous searches for people and evidence while a member of the patrol division and Metro-LEC SWAT. K9 Robbi was named after Special Forces SSG Robert Pirelli who was killed in action in 2007. K9 Robbi was Officer Michael Gilboy’s 4th dog with the FPD in his 20-plus years of service.
