The Franklin Police Department has a new therapy dog. Frankie is a 6-month-old chocolate lab recruited from professional Canine Services of Middleboro. She will be partnered with K9 Ben Franklin and Officer Gove of the Department’s Community Services Unit. Frankie will begin her rigorous training this summer to become both a therapy dog and as a “friendly find” search dog to assist with searches for missing people. Once all of her training is completed, she will be ready to meet the public.
