The Franklin Police Department’s newest K9 Frankie and her handler Officer Gove have completed their American Kennel Club certification for Frankie as a Therapy/Comfort Dog. She is also certified in “Friendly Find” tracking which are searches for missing kids, individuals with autism, those suffering from dementia and/or Alzheimer’s, lost hikers in the woods, or any search for non-violent/non-criminal persons. Officials say they will be a great complement to their current tracking duo of K9 Officer Gilboy and K9 Robbi.
