FRANKLIN — The Franklin Police Department has welcomed a new crisis co-response clinician to assist officers during mental health emergencies.
Danielle Machado will work alongside police to help connect individuals experiencing mental health crises with appropriate services and support rather than relying solely on arrests.
Machado brings experience in crisis response and previously served as a co-response clinician with the Northbridge and Douglas Police Departments, while also supporting the Uxbridge and Blackstone Police Departments.
