FRANKLIN — Two Franklin police officers are being recognized for going above and beyond during this week’s snowstorm.
The department says Officers Luther and McVicar responded Tuesday to assist an elderly couple whose home was buried under nearly two feet of snow, blocking both doors.
The officers coordinated with a plow company to clear access to the house and then went a step further — visiting a local store to pick up groceries to ensure the couple had essentials until they could safely leave their home.
