MyFM 101.3 Quest for the Best Winners Gala Celebrates Local Excellence

By MyFM’s Marissa SantosMyFM Media 101.3 proudly hosted its 4th Annual Quest for the Best Winners Gala on September 12, 2024, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Milford. The sold-out event brought together over 500 local business owners, community leaders, and sponsors to celebrate the best of the best in various industries, as voted by the community. 

The gala, emceed by Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame inductee Candy O’Terry, kicked off with a lively welcome reception, followed by an evening full of recognition for the top vote-getters in 11 categories. Winners from industries including education, automotive, food & beverage, and entertainment were honored for their exceptional contributions to the local economy. 

President of MyFM Media, Tom McAuliffe, addressed the attendees, highlighting the impressive growth of the Quest for the Best contest. “This year’s competition saw over 1,600 businesses nominated across 252 categories, with a staggering 652,000 votes cast in just two weeks,” McAuliffe shared. “We’re proud to say that the MyFM Quest for the Best has now become the largest ‘best of’ contest in Massachusetts.” 

Guests were treated to a special video presentation showcasing MyFM’s year-round commitment to localism, with many attendees spotting themselves in the footage. The evening also featured a raffle draw, where one lucky attendee won a $3,000 MyFM Media marketing bundle and an additional $3,000 grant to donate to a charity or non-profit of their choice. 

Among the winners celebrated were Dean College in the education category, Southwick’s Zoo for arts and entertainment, Ray’s Automotive for automotive services, and Blooming Hearts Roastery & Café for food and beverage. The prestigious award for Most Overall Votes went to Ray’s Automotive, while Best Place to Work was awarded to Jamie Oil, and Asphalt Engineering took home the Community Partner honor. 

The gala also acknowledged the generous contributions of its title sponsor, Milton CAT, and gala sponsor, Allegra Print of Franklin. The evening closed with an invitation to join MyFM’s upcoming My Advantage Marketing Seminars in October, designed to help local businesses thrive with innovative multi-platform advertising strategies. 

Media Row, a new feature this year, allowed winners to be interviewed by Ray Auger of MyFM in the Morning, providing them with another opportunity to share their success stories with the community. Guests left the evening with copies of the all-new Quest for the Best magazine which are now available throughout the MyFM Listening area.
