A Franklin man is learning to be a firefighter while serving in the US Navy. Fireman Apprentice Benjamin Corbett serves as a student at Basic Enlisted Submarine School. Corbett, a 2016 Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School graduate, joined the Navy four years ago saying his family has a long tradition of military service and he wanted to continue that legacy. And Corbett says the leadership skills instilled in him actually come from his time growing up in Franklin as a Boy Scout.
