Franklin Man Indicted on Gun and Drug Charges by US Attorney’s Office

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A Franklin man has been indicted on several gun charges. The US Attorney’s Office says Juan Otero was indicted for dealing in firearms without a license; receiving a firearm while under indictment; possession of a machine gun, and cocaine distribution. Police allege Otero sold guns, large capacity magazines and multiple rounds of ammunition in 2023 while out of jail awaiting trial for similar crimes for which he was indicted in 2022. His arrest came under the multi law enforcement Project Safe Neighborhoods program.
