By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – If you got a red or yellow notice from the Franklin Water Department, here’s why: The Franklin Public Works Department is undertaking a federally mandated survey of all customer service pipe materials and now sending notices to all property owners who either have material that’s going to need replacement or are still an unknown pipe material. They say not every household will be getting a notice. Officials say so far there is no known excessive lead problem in Franklin, but they have to look.
