FRANKLIN – The Franklin Fire and Health Departments are offering a free “Stop the Bleed” training session on April 22 at Franklin Fire Headquarters, designed to teach residents how to respond in emergency situations involving severe bleeding.

The hands-on training will cover how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and apply three simple, life-saving techniques to control it before first responders arrive. Officials say the program is open to community members of all experience levels, and participants are encouraged to sign up in advance.
