By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Franklin Food Pantry says they saw a 38% increase in people served in Fiscal Year 2024. In their just released Annual Report, the Pantry says they served over 1,800 individuals in 850 families thanks to the generosity and commitment of the staff, volunteers and community. They also saw a 48% increase in weekend backpacks for students and a 61% jump in mobile pantry visits. Executive Director Tina Powderly calls those clear signs of the rising need in Franklin and the collective effort needed to meet it.
