The Franklin Food Pantry has gotten a $50,000 allocation from the State Budget. Officials say State Representative Jeff Roy helped secure the funding for the Pantry’s capital campaign to support enhanced client programs and services, and subsidize the purchase, renovation, and maintenance of their new building on W Central Street. Executive Director Tina Powderly says the Pantry has seen a sharp increase in client visits with 35% more weekly visits in July compared to the same time month last year.
