FRANKLIN — The Franklin Fire Department has placed a new ambulance into service.
The 2025 Ford F-550 Horton 4×4 Type I features advanced safety systems and infection-control technology designed to protect both patients and first responders.
According to the Franklin Observer, the new vehicle marks the return of a third ambulance to the department’s rotation. The addition was made possible by an August vote of the Franklin Town Council after the department had previously reduced operations to two ambulances following a failed tax override.
