By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Franklin’s Fire Chief says there was no threat to the public following a small fire that resulted in a chemical spill Tuesday morning at a manufacturing facility on Forge Parkway. Chief James McLaughlin says Dynisco’s internal fire suppression system stopped the fire but the ensuing leak of sodium potassium brought out about 45 firefighters and hazmat technicians. The business was evacuated as the hazmat teams did the cleanup over about five hours. Chief McLaughlin says no one was hurt.
