By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A Franklin-based educator has been named the 2024 Massachusetts History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. The Franklin Observer reports Dean College adjunct faculty member and Nipmuc Regional High School history teacher Darcy Daniels was given the honor and is now in the pool for the National History Teacher of the Year Award. For the state honor Daniels will receive $1,000 and a set of American History archives for her classroom. The National winner gets $10,000.
