By MyFM’s Claire BeverlyA Sunday morning brush fire in Franklin that came near several homes on Populatic Street has been deemed suspicious by fire investigators. Fire Chief James McLaughlin tells the Daily News that while some homes had to be evacuated, firefighters contained it before it reached the homes and there was no damage and no one hurt.  He says the state Fire Marshal’s Office believes it was intentionally set. Meanwhile, burn bans in Franklin, Milford and many other towns have been extended because of the dry weather conditions and number of fires across the state this fall – nearly 500 since October 1.
