FOXBORO – A Foxboro police officer is being recognized for saving the life of a crash victim just as their car was going up in flames.
Police have released footage of the July incident showing Officer Brendan Fayles smashing a car window and pulling an unconscious driver to safety after the vehicle had crashed into a house.
According to Boston 25, Police Chief Michael Grace praised Fayles’ actions as the “highest standard of courage and dedication to duty.”
The driver has since recovered from their injuries, but is now facing drunk driving charges.
