WESTBOROUGH – School officials say they are shocked after learning that a former district custodian has been charged with possession of child pornography.
According to the Milford Daily News, Luis Barros resigned from the Westborough Public Schools in September and was later hired at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough.
Barros pleaded not guilty in Westborough District Court and is being held on $50,000 bail.
Assabet officials said Barros passed all required background checks and had limited contact with students. Police emphasized there is no evidence that any students were targeted.
