MILFORD – John Hennessey, a former Milford firefighter, helped his local community stay safe for 32 years. Now, after being diagnosed with late-stage renal disease last winter, Hennessey is looking for help from a potential donor to initiate a kidney transplant.

The announcement was made on Crystal Pool & Spa’s Facebook page, expressing Hennessey’s need for a living donor, specifically someone with O+ blood. Hennessey worked at Crystal Pool and Spa for 11 years after finishing his tenure as a firefighter in 2014.

Within this announcement, a QR code was attached, linking readers to Hennessey’s official bio on Kidneys for Communities, a “non-profit dedicated to increasing living kidney donations by leveraging the power of community connections”.

Those interested in becoming a donor can visit the site’s registration form. The full interview with John Hennessey can also be found here.
