FRANKLIN – An outbreak of the flu has taken its toll on a popular Franklin restaurant. Teddy Gallagher’s Irish Pub is now back open for business after a sudden closure Tuesday night, which the restaurant said on social media was due to a large number of staff members becoming sick very quickly.
The closure comes as Massachusetts health officials report elevated levels of respiratory illness statewide. On Monday, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health said hospitals have been seeing high numbers of cases involving the flu, COVID-19, and RSV, contributing to staffing challenges across multiple sectors.
