The first sentence has been handed down in connection with a sprawling drug trafficking operation that included moving the drugs though Franklin. The Franklin Observer reports a Pawtucket man was sentenced yesterday in federal court to seven years for his part in what prosecutors call a conspiracy to traffic meth, fentanyl and cocaine from Arizona into Massachusetts through Franklin. Investigators say the group was shipping the drugs by hiding them in packages containing things for kids like toys and Disney items.
