MILFORD – Milford has a new School Resource Officer, and he’s a familiar face in the community. Officer Brian Hayes has been in law enforcement since 2011, beginning his career as a communications officer with the Town of Milford for four years.
Hayes later served four years as a Hopedale Police Officer before returning to Milford, where he has been a full-time member of the Milford Police Department Patrol Division since 2018.
In his new role, Officer Hayes will spend the majority of his time at Stacy Middle School, while also floating throughout the district’s elementary schools. Town officials say his deep roots in Milford and broad law enforcement experience make him a strong fit for the position, which focuses on school safety, relationship-building, and community engagement.
