Ex-State Police Sergeant Sentenced to 3 Years for Overtime Scheme

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A former State Police sergeant from Westborough has been sentenced to three years in prison in connection with an overtime scheme dating back to 2015. The US Attorney’s Office says William W. Robertson was also ordered to pay restitution of nearly $143,000. In 2023 Robertson was convicted of one count of conspiracy, one count of theft concerning a federal program and four counts of wire fraud for regularly lying about overtime shifts funded by grants for traffic safety and later destroying evidence.
