By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Upton Board of Health says a mosquito sample in Upton has tested positive for Eastern equine encephalitis. They urge you to avoid outdoor activity at dusk and dawn and use mosquito repellent when you are out. Earlier this week state health officials announced the season’s first case of a human getting EEE – a Worcester County man in his 80s – and put Upton, Grafton and Mendon in a “moderate risk” category for it. But they place Northbridge and Uxbridge into a “high risk” category.
