A Douglas town official has been identified as the man killed while crossing a street in Uxbridge last week. The Worcester DA’s Office says 80-year-old Robert Allen Josey was crossing North Main Street near CVS Pharmacy on February 24 when he was hit by a car. The Daily News reports Josey was chair of the Douglas Water/Sewer Commission on which he had served for nearly 40 years. The DA’s Office says Josey was not in a crosswalk when he was hit. The driver, who stayed at the scene, has not been cited.
