Getting to the bottom of what led to the resignations of six Uxbridge School Committee members last spring cost the School District nearly $32,000. The Daily News reports investigators with former Boston Police Commissioner’s Edward Davis’s Company submitted their bill for work on the eventual 94-page report. The conclusion: the committee resigned because they felt they could not evaluate the Superintendent and there was the specter of a potential civil rights lawsuit involving a district family.
