Connecticut Man Identified as Victim in Fatal Mass Pike Crash

HOPKINTON — The victim of a fatal accident on the Massachusetts Turnpike Monday night has been identified as a Connecticut man.

Massachusetts State Police say around 11 p.m., Patrick Sarpong was stopped on the side of I-90 Westbound near mile marker 104 and was clearing snow off his vehicle when he was struck by a passing tractor trailer.

The driver of the truck stopped and called for help. His name has not been released, and no charges have been filed at this time as the crash remains under investigation.
