HOPKINTON – A community fundraiser to support the annual “Lights on the Town Common” has surpassed its goal by more than $1,000. The Hopkinton Parks and Recreation Department had previously been forced to eliminate the program due to budget cuts, prompting a public appeal for assistance.
Residents responded generously, contributing more than enough to ensure the holiday lights will shine on the town common once again this year.
