MILFORD — Citizens for Milford, in partnership with Milford TV, is inviting voters to attend the twelfth Candidate Forum ahead of the town’s upcoming election.
The forum will be held Monday, March 16 at 7 p.m. in Upper Town Hall at 52 Main Street. Voters are also encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to meet the candidates before the event begins. The forum is free and open to the public.
This year’s election features one contested race, with three candidates seeking one open seat on the Board of Health: Rosemary Cerqueira, Diana Haynes, and Scott Vecchiolla. Candidates running unopposed who will participate include Select Board incumbent Thomas J. O’Loughlin, Town Clerk incumbent Amy Hennessy Neves, Town Moderator incumbent Michelangelo Bon Tempo, School Committee incumbents Michael Aghajanian and Brendan Rickert, and Vernon Grove Trustee newcomer M.E. Cissy Hull-Allen. Additional participating candidates will be announced on the Citizens for Milford website once confirmed.
The forum will be moderated by Citizens for Milford members José Costa and Geri Eddins. The evening will begin with opening statements from each candidate, followed by moderator questions and an opportunity for audience members to ask their own questions.
“Local elections matter,” said Citizens for Milford Chair Geri Eddins. “We urge voters to join us in Town Hall on March 16 to meet the candidates and hear about their goals for Milford and how they would work to improve life in our community.”
Milford TV will broadcast the forum live on Comcast Channel 8, Verizon Channel 38, Verizon HD Channel 2140, MilfordTV.net, and the Milford TV app. The forum will also be recorded for on-demand viewing and rebroadcast in the days leading up to the April 7 election. Citizens for Milford will share a link to the video on its website and Facebook page once available.
