FRANKLIN – The Children’s Museum of Franklin is expanding its Transportation Area with a new interactive exhibit created in partnership with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for this afternoon, with MBTA representatives joining museum officials to celebrate the new addition.
Museum leaders say the exhibit is designed to teach children about railroad crossing safety while also introducing them to the many careers involved in keeping public transportation running, including engineering, signal operations, and transit maintenance. Officials hope the exhibit will both educate and inspire the next generation of transportation professionals.
