By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – One person is in a hospital after a car slammed into a tree and burst into flames just off Interstate 495 Northbound in Hopkinton Tuesday afternoon. Hopkinton Firefighters responded along with State Troopers to the nearly 1pm crash between the Hopkinton exits and the Mass Pike. A State Police spokesman tells the Hopkinton Independent the cause of the crash remains under investigation but the driver, a woman from Plainville, was the only person in the car and there were apparently no other cars involved.
