The recent arrest of two Framingham men for breaking into cars in Milford is just a drop in the bucket of a big local problem. As we reported Wednesday the two were arrested for car breaks in Milford, Hopedale, Medway and more with police saying among the stolen items were credit cards the men tried to use to buy prepaid gift cards. Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino tells the Daily News this type of crime is now “plaguing” the region but he says in many cases the cars were left unlocked with valuables inside. He says criminals are looking for easy targets and locking your car is a good defense.
