By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Bowman Conservation Area footbridge at the base of Upton Road in Westborough is closed until further notice for safety reasons. The Conservation Commission says they decided they had to close the footbridge after one of its structural timbers was found to have recently failed, making it unsafe to walk across. The bridge is part of a very popular loop trail around the Sandra Pond Reservoir. Officials say it will be torn down over the next few weeks while they work to determine what it will cost to replace it and how long.
