Among the excitement at Monday’s Boston Marathon was the recent re-opening of a renovated historic building near the start line in Hopkinton. The Boston Athletic Association, which organizes the Marathon, bought the building at 1 Ash Street in 2016 and has turned it into offices and meeting spaces but with a museum-like experience that also includes archives. The Worcester Business Journal reports the renovation was accessibility-focused to widen doors and add a lift to access the second floor.
