By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – This Saturday is the official opening of Blackstone’s newest playground at Turbesi Park. The Parks and Recreation Department will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday September 7 at 2pm at the park on Rathbun Street which is named for former Blackstone official Angelo Turbesi. The first renovation of the park since 1997, the playground has received a full remodeling geared toward children of all abilities and ages as well as some new trees. After the ceremony there will be some light refreshments.
