Bellingham’s Silver Lake Beach is closed until further notice due to high readings of E Coli bacteria. The Department of Public Works says the Splash Pad and Arcand Park Beach will remain open. Hopkinton State Park’s main and upper beaches are also closed due to high levels of enterococci bacteria. Both are typically caused by goose droppings and officials are continually testing. One of Hopkinton’s beaches actually reopened for a short time last week only to be closed again a couple days later.
