By MyFM’s Marissa Santos – In response to the ongoing heat wave, Bellingham has opened its Senior Center at 40 Blackstone St as a Cooling Center for residents of all ages. The center will be available each day this week until 7pm to provide relief from the extreme temperatures.
Additionally, resident fees for Silver Lake Beach and the Splash Pad will be waived from today through Friday, allowing everyone free access to these recreational facilities to stay cool. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these resources and stay hydrated during the heat wave.
