By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Westborough’s Ascend Elements is partnering with Polish company Elemental Strategic Metals to form a new company with two facilities in Europe. New company AE Elemental will take apart old electric vehicle batteries and use the materials to make new batteries. The Worcester Business Journal reports the move to have European plants will help Ascend streamline compliance with EU standards. Meanwhile Ascend Elements is still planning to move its headquarters out of Westborough and into Devens later this year.
