By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Milford Police have arrested an Andover man for trying to pass a forged check from the Town of Medway. A Unibank teller thought the guy was suspicious and summoned police to the Prospect branch. Detectives say the “Town of Medway” check for $4,380 had been counterfeited to pay to the order of Sean B. Murphy. They say the check had been stolen from the mail and doctored. A search of Murphy allegedly turned up some meth. He is charged with forgery, attempted larceny and drug possession.
