NORTHBRIDGE – Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in a fatal crash Monday night that claimed the life of a 21-year-old Whitinsville man.
Northbridge Police say the driver, identified as Zachary Dawe, was traveling westbound on Main Street at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The crash remains under investigation by the Northbridge Police Department and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction Team, with investigators suspecting operating under the influence. No other injuries were reported.
