Uxbridge Spartan rising senior Willem Haker affirmed his status as one of New England’s top prospects at the Prep Baseball Senior Future Games in Georgia, delivering a performance worthy of the spotlight. A second–team SWCL All‑Star behind the plate for Uxbridge, Haker was phenomenal at the plate.
This summer, Haker carried that momentum into legion ball for Northbridge and club play with the MWS Devils. He showcased his raw power by swatting two homers and three triples in the summer circuit, showcasing a dangerous batting combination. At the Senior Future Games showcase, Haker’s bat spoke the loudest: he crushed an opposite‑field home run that registered a thunderous 101.2 MPH exit velocity, immediately marking him as one of the event’s premier sluggers.
Beyond his thunderous hits, Haker impressed with a polished defensive approach that highlighted his fundamentally sound style at multiple positions, highlighting versatility. Now headed to Worcester Academy for a bridge year before college, Haker will refine his game against high‑level competition and aim to attract scholarship offers. With his combination of power, defensive acumen, and maturity, look for Haker to continue climbing the prospect ranks in the months ahead.
